My most recent home system (HP laptop) is still running after maybe 5 months, so. It's possible you can use some firewall rules to accomplish the same things if you're pulling files from a networked server, but I can't attest to the success as I haven't tried. After getting Windows 10 installed and updated initially, I went into the device manager and disabled the network devices just in case. I somehow think it blows up if your computer can access the internet because it's looking for the old Tricerasoft servers and craps-out when it can't find what it's looking for. If memory serves, I gave it admin permissions and used Vista compatibility to install it, but it might have been Windows 7 compatibility. I had to start clean and it's completely air-gapped from the internet. Using it on a system with any previous version of Swift Elite and/or upgraded Windows is a death-sentence. No issues with stability after some initial growing pains (knock on wood)Īny professionals I know that still use SWE4 continue to run on Windows 7 or older.
